INTERVIEW

Jordan Mercedes: What type of Business are you in?

Alex Genadinik: I create mobile apps which help to coach and mentor young entrepreneurs.

JM: Do you operate your business full-time or part time?

AG: I operate this on a full-time.

JM: What’s your best start-up lesson?

AG: You must know your target audience as deeply as possible. This
will allow you to understand what they want and how they want it.
Knowing your target audience will allow you to create a product which absolutely delights them. And, it will help you to market to them effectively.

JM: What is your most valuable mentoring advice for a start-up?

AG: Be a sponge and learn as much as you can. Learning is the #1 thing that
will help you long term.

JM: What is your most useful resource or tool?

AG: Stackoverflow.com is the best resource I have used to help me learn to
code various new technologies. It helped me create my products on my own,
which made my costs to starting up minimal and allowed me to be
competitive long term.

JM: Did you have a business mentor or coach?

AG: I did not have a mentor or coach, but I always wanted one.

JM: If not, looking back, would you have wanted one?

AG: Yes, mentors can be amazing if they are good. A mentor who can offer advice that can help you prevent someone from mistakes which would waste years of time. So a good mentor can really help the entrepreneur get on the right path to success.
